Morning,

I wanted to say a big thank you for a very enjoyable and very well organised 6 Moor Miles run yesterday.

It was the first time I had entered but will most definitely come again and recommend it to friends.

The atmosphere was jubilent throughout, helped along by the weather, and the marshalls along the course were both helpful and enthusiastic. It was a nice surprise to also receive a medal and T Shirt for our efforts.

WHAT A GREAT EVENT!!

Thank you

Best Regards

Paul

I want to congratulate you all on a very well organised race today - 6 Moor Miles. It was my first time of running this race but I have many other races to compare this one against and I must say that everyone was very friendly and helpful, the course was well marked and very well marshalled. The course is brilliant, fast but I bet a monster when it is wet!
One suggestion for next year would be more toilets please!
Many thanks and I will return next year and will spread the word.

Excellent race yesterday!
Only my third 10(ish)K since starting last year but definitely very enjoyable despite the near collapse at the end!

Great idea to have a sports masseur (someone filmed me during mine though!) and the general set up was excellent.

Went to a rather glitzy 10k last year with twice as many runners but the marshalling was poor and the services limited - this was much much better.

Now to nurse the wobbly legs...

Thanks,

Matt

I would like to thank everybody who helped out at the race on Sunday. Everyone did a grand job. We have had some positive feedback from competitors which is good to see. Look forward to seeing you on Wednesday and the Tavy relay.

In short: Beautiful place full of lovely people - terrain was "interesting"!
In full: I was very slow because of my injury (honest!), but the folks were great. Every marshall had an encouraging word, the ladies dishing out water were lovely too. Bit off putting being followed by a tortoise - but he was lovely too! Hills, grass, water, fields, forests - had it all - thank you for a lovely experience. I hope to be back when I've had my op!

In short: Magnificent :)
In full: This race was, without a shadow of doubt, the slickest organised event I have ever done. From the moment I spotted the first sign for the race and parking, to the moment I left, everything was just first class and spot on. Friendly locals (I had travelled from the West Midlands, and got so much support), smiling organisers, plentiful, clear and hugely supportive marshalling, fab goodies, amazing route, perfect weather, value for money...I could fill a page. Many congratulations to Anita and team for an exceptional new event. It might be a 410 mile round trip, but that won't stop me doing this event again. Just try and stop me!

In short: A winner in it's inaugural year. Well done Plymouth Harriers!
In full: A great run for all abilities. Marshalls galore to show the way. Thanks for the marvellous support. Great course. Only a couple of nasty(ish) hills. The only road section was about 100 yards long then back on the interesting stuff. Well organised and great value. Excellent medal and t-shirt as mementos of a grand day out. Reckon it was a tad over six miles but who cares!

In short: Fantastic
In full: Given the chance I'd do this race again year after year. Plymouth Harriers organised this really well, friendly and welcoming, clear locations for bag drop, parking and such like. The course has everything an off road course should have - gullys, moorland, track, one big hill early on and two smaller ones at about half way. Basically, this is a technical cross country which will allow fast runners to really test themselves and beginners to have a superb and very enjoyable day out. Two water stations and no possibility of getting lost thanks to the supportive marshals at almost every corner.

In short: Fab, Fab, Fab. Do it! Do it! Do it!
In full: Beautiful, no: stunning, setting for this very friendly, smoothly organised entirely off-road race. All well-signposted from the main road, with excellent marshalling before (car-parking etc) and during the race. A good profile - downhill start to warm you up, some undulations here and there, but don't forget to save something for the 2 big hills in the third quarter. Truly off-road, often completely off-track, so lots of looking where your feet are going rather than at the moors, which vied for your attention. Get in early next year - it was full on the day, even for a first-timer! Nice family feel as people hung around with spectators after to sample very good, looked-like-local, burgers and hot dogs - great idea. Thanks to all.
